Aerospace Engineering Summer Program - Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Prescott, AZ Campus (June 2010)

This is a six day intensive overview of the Aerospace Engineering program at the world-renowned Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Prescott Campus. This program is designed to demonstrate fundamental concepts of engineering in a fun, hands-on environment. Each participant will learn the Science of Flight, how materials stress, strain, and break, and the principles of Aerospace Design. Students will be introduced to a variety of fields relating to Aerospace Engineering through daily classes and labs.
Arizona Tooling and Machining Association (ATMA) Advanced Manufacturing Summer Internship Program
The city of Phoenix and Phoenix Community Development and Investment Corporation (PCDIC) is currently offering a summer program in Advanced/High-Tech Manufacturing. Participants will have the opportunity to obtain community college credits (up to five credits) while gaining up to 200 hours of valuable work experience and even build a battlebot at the end of the program. Students will spend three days at the Maricopa Skill Center and two days with a local business. The program provides educational and employment opportunities for youth and young adults, ages 16-25, residing or attending school within the New Market Tax Credit (NMTC) census tracts.
